New year, new weekend, and a new set of enthralling local sports fixtures are on offer, from the bottom of the pile to the top of the tree.

Billericay Town have a tough ask to keep their place at the head of the Ryman Premier, whilst East Thurrock and Concord will be looking to move further away from the drop zone.

Grays and Tilbury both have winnable games as they strive to cement their promotion credentials in Ryman One North.

At the other end of the spectrum, Conference South outfit Thurrock and ESL sides, Basildon and Bowers all have tough looking away trips as they bid to haul themselves off the bottom of their leagues.

In rugby, Thurrock and Basildon will be confident of building more on their great seasons, too.
