A Slice of Fawlty Towers

Nov 06, 12 A Slice of Fawlty Towers

Tim Farmer who plays Basil Fawlty for local ‘Cut Productions’ made an impromptu visit to the studios of Gateway 97.8, causing havoc and faced with all the usual abuse you would expect from the infamous character.

The evening begins with pre dinner drinks, where the audience are greeted by the trio. Then, when the time comes Basil invites diners to the restaurant where they are served a three course meal. Lots of unscripted off the cuff fun then ensues.

Steve Arber the innovator of the Cut Productions company said “We don’t use any of the original BBC scripts, so don’t expect to hear a repeat of the old series that why we call the show ‘A slice of Fawlty Towers.’”

If you would like to experience the fun, the company are at the Old Kings Head in Billericay every Thursday in December.
