Police Seek A127 Crash Witnesses

a127Police are appealing for witnesses following a five-vehicle road crash on the A127 at about 6.35am on Monday, October 20 on the London-bound carriageway near the junction with the A176.

One of the drivers, a man in his 50s from Leigh, was initially trapped in one of the coaches and received serious leg and neck injuries. The carriageway was fully closed while the Essex Fire and Rescue used cutting equipment to release the driver and put him in the care of the Ambulance Service.

The outside lane remained closed for about five hours for a police investigation and recovery of the vehicles.
