Luke Britnell, 19, from Canvey Island, recently impressed The X Factor judges with his song Think Positive, before playing in front of thousands at Wembley Arena. He’s a former pupil of Cornelious Vermuyden School and Southend’s South Essex College, started playing guitar when he was 15, and began actual singing two and a half years ago.

In 2011, Luke began singing and, after a talent contest at Thorney Bay, he was signed up by Choice Entertainment. Last year, he performed in front of thousands at London’s O2 Arena after getting to the finals of the Open Mic UK competition, and has recently been performing on a cruise ship.

Unfortunately, Luke crashed out of The X Factor after a nervy performance when he sang Daft Punk’s Get Lucky. He is continuing to write his own songs and will be releasing an EP along with a CD of his work soon.
