This week’s Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8 is a real smorgasbord with something for everyone amongst its 25 very varied tracks.

I open with congratulations to some of the winners in the recent Maple Blues Awards featuring tracks from MonkeyJunk, Angel Forrest and Dawn Tyler Watson & Paul Deslauriers.

Then there are new & recent releases from Son of Dave, Hard Garden, King Size Slim, Planet Graffiti, Damon Fowler, Robben Ford, Matt Schofield, Kim Simmonds & Savoy Brown, Billy Branch & the Sons of Blues, Downchild, Chuck Leavell, Matt Andersen and Big Jim Adam.

In the gig guide there are tracks from the Ben Smith Band, Todd Sharpville, Goldie Reed, The Mighty Bosscats and Drew Holcomb & the Neighbours plus tracks from the as yet unreleased CDs from Albert Castiglia, Christina Skjolberg and Laurence Jones currently touring with Ruf’s Blues Caravan.

To round off, a cracking instrumental from Jimmy Thackeray and you have another very tasty melange to tantalise and tickle your tastebuds!
