The Friends of Kents Hill Junior School, a registered charity, held a fun packed afternoon on Saturday 6th July between 12pm and 4pm, at Kents Hill Road, Benfleet, SS7 5PS.

The fete boasted a BBQ, Home Made Cakes, Traditional Stalls and a Pimms and Beer Stall, Bouncy Castles area and plenty of Traditional Sideshows to keep little ones occupied.

Following the very special Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies Cast Tribute parade led by the Pandemonium Drummers with the Ceremonies Carnival Crew, there were also other entertainment from Dance Groups, Sports Clubs, Gymnastics, Karate, Singers, Escapologist and Magicians.

We were there too for Coffee & Tea with Jack Sullivan featuring The Local Chart in association with HMV, and many of you came to say hello! Danny Lawrence also managed to catch up with some of the acts performing at the event, including our 2013 Battle of the Bands winner, Now Now Jhon!

Listen to the interview above.

The fete is the main fundraiser of the year for the charity, and over the four hours they managed to raise over £3745, which will help provice extra facilities at the school that the children would not otherwise have.
