I-Zone Legends: WW2 Veteran David Whiteman.

This Sunday at 3pm please join Jag Singh on The Inspiration Zone for another dosage of motivation and inspiration at the start of the week. In this week’s edition of I-Zone Legends, Jag will be taking inspiration to another level! He will be interviewing 96-years-old World War Two Veteran David Whiteman who will be talking about his experiences as a medical orderly during the war. David will be sharing his life threatening experiences that he fought through and survived during these challenging times. His persistence and determination made him and many other brave soldiers win the day.

Alan Caulfield, a very good friend of David will also be joining the conversation in this amazing episode of I-Zone Legends. David Whiteman miraculously survived the invasion of Dunkirk, and The Battle of Arnhem in the 1940’s by using courage and bravery, he never gave up and just kept going!
We all know what it is that we truly want, but sometimes we just cannot get ourselves into gear to achieve our goals and dreams. David had a goal and a dream in the 1940’s and that was to represent his country, protect the wounded soldiers and get them back home safely. He kept his focus despite being attacked on several occasions and completed all of his missions successfully. We all need to learn from this great man, that we too can keep our focus on what we want out of our lives, rather than what we don’t. During WW2 many individuals put their lives on the line so that we could be free and safe, we must never, ever forget their sacrifices and courage. We should all encourage the next generation to visit the British Imperial War Museums and study the past in order to make a better future.

During the interview, in remembrance of our heroes I will be playing a special classic track from a woman who is widely known as ‘The Forces Sweetheart’ Dame Vera Lynn DBE who celebrated her sensational birthday in March at the age of 99.
