It’s back ! After being left to get horribly out of date over the last few weeks, the “Recommended Old Git’s Nights Out” returns to the bottom of this blog with everything you need for your soulful social life. Whether you want to know about a weekly, monthly or one-off special event, you will find details of the music, the venues, the DJs and more by scrolling down below the list of this week’s tunes. And boy ! What tunes they are this week ! If I do blow my own trumpet, I came up with a bumper selection of classic 70s & 80s soul, jazz-funk & disco goodies with a sprinklng of brand new cuts in between of a very hugh standard indeed – 2017 is shaping up nicely for “our music”.
