Neil Gits Less Songs On !

I have to say that the music on this week’s show is even more fabulous than usual, with some really special tunes that deserved to be played in their full extended versions with no fading out ! So, there are actually one or two less songs included on the playlist than usual for this evening’s repeat play at 5pm, but it’s quality that counts this time, not quantity – here are a few highlights not to be missed :

As more and more new / recent music finds its way onto my show, there’s always a good chance Cool Million will be featured regularly – these guys can do no wrong ! Check out their latest 80s groove inspired cut around 5.30…

If you love Luther Vandross (who doesn’t ?!) and especially Will Downing, don’t miss the track by Alex Lattimore from about 6 years ago, brought to my attention by Caister DJ and fellow Old Git Pete Collins – stunning !!

You know I love to dig out almost forgotten old tracks – how about a duet by George Benson & Chaka Khan that first featured on the same album as “I’m Every Woman” in 1978 ? Sounds good ? It flippin’ well is !!!

Featured artists for April are the Players Association and they get the “Old Gits Jazzy Bit” spot this week with a brilliant instrumental cover of a Chic classic …

And the “Tasty 12” goes to Teena Marie, an awesome reworking by John Morales…

Last but not least, to chill out to after all that excitement, a superb “Soul Soother” by Anita Baker from her 1990 “Compositions” LP, chosen by regular listener Paul in Billericay …
