Unless you are Dutch or Danish, let me give you a great idea of how to spend two hours from 5pm this afternoon – tune in to my “Old Gits Soul Boys Special” ! First broadcast last Bank Holiday Monday, you may (like me!) have forgotten all about our regular soulful get together on the airwaves amidst all the Jubilee celebrations, so here’s your chance to catch up with a repeat play of a show that I think turned out not too bad at all. Leaning heavily towards the 70s, but with a sprinklingof 80s & 90s cuts as well, it’s virtually a 120 minute “Who’s Who” of the great vocal soul bands of our era, including The Stylistics, The Chi-Lites, Tavares & The O’Jays.
