The Queen’s Edelweiss Pirates

Edelweiss Pirates is a new play being performed at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, as part of the National Theatre Connections Festival: the world’s biggest youth theatre festival.
Yvonne talked to its Director, Patrick O’Sullivan on ‘Good Afternoon’: you might like to have a listen to the attached recording.
The Edelweiss Pirates - Brochure image 1Edelweiss Pirates features Cut 2 Young, the company of young people nurtured and trained at The Queen’s. The play is set in wartime Germany and looks at a group of young people who defied the Nazi regime and at the consequences of such defiance.
Edelweiss Pirates is a powerful and thought-provoking piece for cast and audience alike. A one act play, it opens at 9pm on Sunday February 8th and plays twice on Monday 9th; at 7pm and 9pm.
