Listen: are film and TV locations inspiring our travel destinations?
Whether it is seeing 007 enter The Eden Project that was transformed into Gustav Graves’ ice palace in Die Another Day, Hagrid’s hut from Harry Potter in Glencoe, or Hampton Court Palace which served as the home of the Queen in Bridgerton, many of us now wish to visit the places our favourite film and TV shows were created.
In fact, six in 10 of us have booked trips and days out because of the location’s link to TV and film.
The research, commissioned to celebrate The National Lottery Open Week (19th – 27th March), shows that 60% of us still have TV and film locations on their wish list of places to visit.
Ros spoke to Peter Stewart, executive director outreach and development at The Eden Project.
