Five years ago today (21st October) the first Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8 was aired and tomorrow’s show opens with the tracks I played on the first show.

So there are tracks from JJ Cale, Sonny Landreth with Robben Ford, Joe Bonamassa, Jimi Hendrix, Hokie Joint, Matt Schofield, Kris Dollimore, Gregg Wright, Sherman Robertson & Blues Move, Shakey Vick Blues Band feat Chris Youlden and Brad Vickers & His Vestapolitans.

I remember Gypie Mayo who left us a year ago with tracks from Dr Feelgood and The Yardbirds and there are tracks from new & recent releases by Half Deaf Clatch, Harmonica Dave, Kelly’s Lot,  Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion, Katie Bradley, Mick Simpson, Doghouse Sam & his Magnatones and Howlin’ Bill.

In the gig guide there are tracks from Kirk Fletcher, Blues Consortium, The Jives UK, the Cadillac Kings and it is rounded off with a cracker from George Thorogood & the Destroyers

Mmmm! There’s a tasty way to celebrate a birthday!
