DIGITAL BLUES ON GATEWAY 97.8 – WEDNESDAY 29TH MAY 2013

Another packed edition of the British Blues Awards 2013 nominated Digital Blues on Gateway 97.8 this Wednesday with all the variety you have come to expect!

I open with a great track from Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughan and then there are loads of new and recent releases from Larry Miller, Paul Rose, Mike Zito & the Wheel, Sterling Koch, Andy Poxon, Ged Wilson, Marshall Lawrence, Poplar Jake, Funke & the Two Tone Baby, Rag Mama Rag, Half Deaf Clatch, Paul Lamb & Chad Strentz and Dawn Tyler Watson & Paul Deslauriers

In the gig guide I have The Nightporters, 24 Pesos, Loz Netto and Big Mamma’s Door. As Hokie Joint call it a day, there are two tracks from this unique band who will be greatly missed plus we mark the recent passing of Ray Manzarek with a classic from the Doors.

To round things off there is a final track from this month’s IBBA Album of the Month, ‘Highwire’ by the Daniel Smith Blues Band and a great instrumental from Canned Heat.
