Coffee & Tea on Gateway 97.8

Happy Saturday!

@TylerPittaway back on air this week on Coffee & Tea. Here’s a wrap-up of some of this week’s highlights:

Some of the weirder stories:

On this day in music:

  • 1967 – Procol Harum’s ‘A Whiter Shade Of Pale’ entered the UK chart for the first time, where it went on to become a No.1 hit
  • 1968 – Simon and Garfunkel scored their second US No.1 album with ‘Bookends’
  • 1985 – Dire Straits scored their second UK No.1 album with ‘Brothers In Arms’

In your celeb birthdays, we have:

  • Cillian Murphy, 43
  • Mike Myers, 56
  • Ian McKellen, 80

For your trip back in time:

And that’s about it! Obviously I played a load of great music which you can hear again on the Gateway listen again service, here!

That’s your lot for this week. Keep listening to Gateway, and I’ll be back with you soon! 🙂
