Happy Saturday!

Hope your week’s been going okay so far! We had Producer Jack in the studio today… but he was revising for his geography A-Level today. He’s been kind enough to give us a ‘fun fact’…

When the Haiti Earthquake happened in 2010, 98% of the rubble created was not cleared up in the first 6 months after the disaster.

Maybe we should get more of Jack’s ‘interesting’ facts next week… but we’ll probably leave it.

In your weird news/content:

On this day in music:

  • 1970, Deep Purple released their fourth studio album ‘Deep Purple In Rock’
  • 1977, Bob Marley & the Wailers released Exodus. The album featured the hits, ‘Jamming’, ‘Waiting In Vain’, ‘Three Little Birds’ and ‘One Love’
  • 2002, Paul McCartney, Sting, Elton John, Brian Wilson, Cliff Richard, Ozzy Osbourne, The Corrs, Will Young, Atomic Kitten and S Club 7 all
appeared at The Queen’s Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace, London

In your celeb birthdays, we have:

  • Michelle Keegan, 30
  • Anderson Cooper, 50
  • Deniece Williams, 67

For your trip back in time:

As they’re playing over at the Olympic park in London tonight; I thought we’d better play Basildon’s finest… Depeche Mode – Just Can’t Get Enough. Check out video below:

You’re up to date for this week’s show – I’ll be back on next weekend. Until then, have an epic week!
