Happy Saturday!
@TylerPittaway & Producer Fraser back on air this week for Coffee & Tea.
This week, in honour of LGBT+ History Month, we found out our Drag Names with an online generator:
Tyler: Mrs Frieda Wylde
Ari’s: Madame Peaches Wylde
Fraser: Miss Kiki Bang Bang
That means Ari and Tyler are Drag Sisters! Who’d have thought it?
What else did we talk about?
Some interesting stories we learned about this week:
On this day in music:
- 1975 – The Average White Band went to No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘Pick Up The Pieces’
- 1992 – Shakespears Sister started an eight-week run at No.1 on the UK singles chart with ‘Stay’
- 1997 – No Doubt went to No.1 on the UK singles chart with ‘Don’t Speak.’
In your celeb birthdays, we have:
- Drew Barrymore, 45
- James Blunt, 46
- Julie Walters, 70
For your trip back in time:
Gateway Gold is our feature we do around quarter-past and quarter-to, hours during the day on Gateway 97.8. This week on the show, the system found these in the archive:
Seekers – The Carnival Is Over
Doobie Brothers – What a Fool Believes
Jackie Wilson – Reet Petite
4 Non Blondes – What’s Up
Robbie Williams & Nicole Kidman – Something Stupid
Carly Rae Jepsen – Call Me Maybe
And that’s about it! Obviously we played a load of great music which you can hear again on the Gateway listen again service, here!
That’s your lot for this week. Keep listening to Gateway, and we’ll be back with you soon! 🙂
