If your at a loose end of where to go this weekend and next week then I have five events you may be intrested in.

 

1.Basildon and Pitsea Carnival  Saturday 25th July open from 11:30am-6:00pm

Come along to Northlands Park for the Basildon and Pitsea Carnival it will in be  Northlands Park in Pitsea

The Procession gets under way from 1pm at the Basildon Upper academy   and goes past Wickford Avenue, Halstow Way,Crest avenue and many other roads in Pitsea before finishing at 2:30pm in Northlands Park

2. Southend Summer Fayre 25th July 1pm-6pm

This summer fayre provides what  you would expect from a traditional fête – food, drink, music, children’s activities, craft stalls, entertainment and a lot  of community spirit. With live acts on stage throughout the day, and musicians that get you tapping to the beat there will be plenty to keep the whole family smiling! In addition to the entertainment, there will be a whole host of side stalls selling a variety of tasty goodies, crafts, games and much more. Our on-site inflatable games and castles guarantees a very good  day out! Entry is just £1 per person (suggested donation) with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.

3.Barleylands Farmers Market open from 8:30am-12:30am

Our Farmers Market is held indoors and outside. The indoor entrance is from the walkway leading to Barleylands Craft Village from the main car park.

Enjoy a morning out wandering round and picking up delicious food for the weekend from our Farmers’ Market.

This is a great opportunity for you to buy all of your fresh, local produce from farmers and growers.

There will be a range of delicious food and other items depending on the season including;

Bread, French pastries, Beef and wild boar, Pork, Lamb, Sausages, Fruit and vegetables, Herbs, Honey, Dairy products, Pies, Mushrooms plus more food

4.Coalhouse Fort Project Classic Vehicle show between 11am-5pm(last admission 4pm)

If you like classic cars this event is for you you can see a taxi that was used in a carry  on film and other classic cars.

Weald  Medieval Show and Fun Day 25th Saturday and Sunday 26th

Come along for this event it is set in the Weald Country Park

these are the events happening on both days

12:30pm-Falconry Display
1pm-Display of handheld missile weapons, slingshots, archery & guns

1.45/2pm-Drill Bill for children & attacking knights with foam weapons

3pm Falconry Display
3.30pm Battle re-enactment
4.30pm Closing Gun show
