After running the last two or three Bank Holiday Monday shows a couple of hours earlier, we thought we’d stick to the regular slot of 7-9pm last Monday for the sake of continuity. However, with all the shops closing a bit earlier and the Eastgate Centre shutting its doors before my arrival, access to the studio presented quite a challenge !
First I had to park my car in exactly the right place or risk a £120 parking ticket (and a clamp) then I had to convince the awfully nice people who look after the place 24 hours that Nathan and I had a good reason to enter the centre and finally negotiate the maze of concrete corridors behind the scenes before climbing up the escalators (which of course by now were switched off!) to Gateway HQ.
It all worked out in the end without any major problems though, and you can hear the results in tonight’s “repeat play” at the usual Saturday time of 5pm – and I think you’ll enjoy it !
