Warren Richardson, an award-winning freelance photographer, visited Gateway 97.8 FM where he discussed his past experiences and the stories behind the photographs he takes.
Warren was one of a group of journalists who covered the refugee crisis in Hungary and won the World Press Photo of the Year award in 2015 for his overwhelming photograph of the refugees crossing the border from Serbia into Hungary.
Warren has visited a variety of countries ranging from India to Hungary and he spoke to Gateway 97.8 about the events that stood out the most, one of the topics being the unexploded war weapons in Laos, Vietnam. His photographs tell a side to the world that are only briefly touched within the media and his experiences are truly moving.
