Neil Gits A Little Mellower

Well, the weather is looking great today and I thought it might be similar last Monday, so I added some extra chilled out tunes and a couple of extra summery flavours into the mix – then we had cloud and drizzle all day !! But as you have come to expect from the show, the music was cracking whatever was going on outside in the skies and you can hear for yourself when we run the repeat play at 5pm today. There’s a real variety of soul, jazz-funk & disco lined up, with vintage soul from way back in the late 60s & early 70s, some big disco hits from our favourite era of the 70s-80s, several cuts taken straight off vinyl (crackles included !) and some crisp nu soul tracks that fit in perfectly. Keep a special ear open for the “Old Gits Summer Jazzy Bit” half way through by Alex Wilson – just perfect for around 6pm this evening 🙂
