You know what’s coming, you can see it happening before you do it, but still it happens. Rushing around to load the car full of disco gear before yet another busy, busy Saturday I took my eye off the ball and … CRUNCH ! Dropped a heavy box right on my finger – cue loud swear words and much pain. No blood, not even much of a bruise, just an agonizing reminder of what I’d done every time I exerted a little pressure on said digit. Yowwwwww! Later in the evening I discovered that it was also my “CD button pushing finger” meaning an uncomfortable four hours behind the mixer, but come Monday night and my arrival in the studio it had been forgotten about and all was well again – until I somehow inflicted one of those irritating “paper cuts” on the same finger just after starting the show … AAAARGH !
As luck would have it, things turned out quite well , possibly my best “Old Gits Soul Show” for a few weeks, and I hope you’ll agree if you listen to the repeat on Saturday and check the playlist below:
