I am not sure if it had anything to do with the fact that this week’s show was pre-recorded or not, but for once I managed to play EVERY single song on the list I had in front of me ! Usually there are two or three tracks that have to wait till the next week to get an airing, but this time you will get to hear ALL of them just as I intended – perhaps this is the perfect “Old Gits Soul Show” ? Whatever, when you listen to the repeat play this evening at 5pm, it will sound a darn sight more “cheery” than it would have done if broadcast live on Monday, as I suffered the trauma of a break-in to my car last weekend and lost many valuable possessions in the process. I won’t go into more details here, it’s not the place, and quite frankly I am sick of telling people now, but I am sure if you have ever suffered at the hands of thieves yourself you will have some idea of how I am feeling right now.
