Just before I tell you how wonderful this week’s show is, let me point you in the direction of Monday 20th August and the first live airing of next week’s “Old Gits Soul Show”. I am delighted to say that I have one of my “legendary” rare interviews with one of the key names from “our era” of 70s & 80s soul, jazz-funk & disco – Bill Sharpe of Shakatak. As you will hear, the group are still going strong and have released a new LP almost every year since the early 80s when they had a string of Top 40 chart hits and are playing a concert at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon in September.
