I’ve had so much going on this week, my mind is completely devoid of creative ways to plug this week’s show ! Two mobile gigs and three quiz nights to fit in between my usual commitments to my son Nathan and my mum Peggy – and of course you all know what day it is on Sunday, I hope ! So just time to point out a couple of highlights you can enjoy by checking out the repeat play on Gateway tomorrow evening at 5pm …
There’s a rare visit to the last year of the 80s when by and large most soulful dance music had become too influenced by house and hip hop for my tastes and thought this week’s “Tasty 12” from 1989 is hardly an exception, it is a good’un ! On the downtempo side of things, with the week I’ve had I’ll definitely be hoping to catch the two “Soul Soothers” while buzzing around in the Neil-mobile – one is from one of my favourite male singers of the 80s from his debut Motown LP, the other from a 1979 album by a female artist who was very successful in the 80s. Take a look at the full playlist below and enjoy !
