Yay ! It’s finally here ! My favourite soul event the awesome Margate Soul Festival is underway and after missing last year’s one due to work commitments, I am doubly excited about going for one of the two days of soul and socializing with my fellow DJs, finding out who’s been playing what and where since last we met. The weather forecast for the Thanet coast is a bit of a cause for concern this year – every other year I’ve been it’s been absolutely perfect – and as the best bits (to my mind) are the open air stages and DJ sets, I may have a few stories to tell of shower dodging when I get back on air next !! 🙁
Of course, if you can’t make it yourself, but love the tunes, worry not – there’s a repeat play of last week’s show to keep you going for now ! Tune in at 5pm this Saturday and again at 7pm on Monday to hear The Old Git playing two hours of tip-top soul, jazz-funk & disco goodies on your radio 🙂
