Neil Gits An Eyeful

You may well have been enjoying the mini heatwave this week, I am sure most people enjoyed the hours of sunshine we got, but for us poor hayfever sufferers the last couple of weeks have been “stay inside and avoid grass” weeks ! By now, at 52 years of age, I have long worked out what precautions to take (apart from hiding in my house with the windows shut and the curtains closed!) and when I am at my most vulnerable, but a couple of times recently the little beggars that cause so much irritation have got through all my defences and left me with sore red eyes and a strong desire to make them even sorer and redder by rubbing them vigorously – bleeeuurgh ! 🙁

So what a joy it is to escape deep inside the concrete and glass environment of the Eastgate Centre and enjoy the lovely coolness of the air conditioning at Gateway FM whilst playing some fabulous soul jazz-funk & disco from the 70s & 80s ona Monday night – it certainly soothed all my troubles away and hopefully will do the same for you if you tune in this evening for the repeat play at 5pm …
