Neil Gits Half A Show On The Air

I sometimes forget just how many knobs, wires, faders and buttons there are in my studio – and a lot of them are hidden out of sight behind & under the desk ! So it was not really surprising that I didn’t notice a crucial lead had been left disconnected after some routine maintenance last Monday, meaning no sound was making its way from the studio PC to the mixer.

That meant that I was unable to play any tracks off MP3, which was a shame because they are usually the most interesting ones, taken off my vinyl records at home and brought in specially  for some of the regular features. Mind you, a couple of listeners got in touch to say how much they were enjoying the show, despite me playing pretty much most of my tunes off mainstream compilation CDs !

You can judge for yourself by tuning in to the repeat play this Saturday at 5pm and then on Monday at 7pm I should be able to unleash the other half of the playlist that never got heard last week !
