I am updating my blog a little earlier than recent weeks, not because things are finally going to plan after a tough winter, but because I am stuck indoors after my car conked out and have the opportunity to get ahead with stuff on the PC – AAARGHH !!! I do have a courtesy car for emergency use and whilst it is a nice modern version of my trusty Vauxhall, it is certainly not “Old Git Friendly” with a panel ressembling an aircraft cockpit in front of me and far too many knobs, buttons, LEDs and other flashing bits to be able to concentrate on driving properly. I’ve already nearly run out of fuel after giving up at the petrol station trying to work out how to open the fuel tank cover and been honked at countless times at junctions and traffic lights after the “Eco” button kicked in and turned off the engine – and don’t get me started on the electronic handbrake ! So I am only going out when absolutely necessary until the damage I appear to have done to my own vehicle through ignorance of the underneath of the bonnet has been (expensively) repaired 🙁
Thank God for Soul Music …
