It was one of THOSE days on Monday. The sort of day when everything you touch turns to cubic zirconia. So after struggling uphill to make my way to the studio, following a very mediocre underwhelming meal en route, I was hoping that at least ONE thing would go to plan – namely my soul show ! But what happens ? First track in, strange noises start appearing in my headphones (which soon afterwards fell apart…) second track in, it sounds like strange beings from another planet have hijacked all the vocals and taken over control of the keyboards, horns and drumkit too. Luckily, from watching too much kids TV with Nathan when he was a bit younger, I rememberred the “Daddy Pig Method” of fixing technical problems – turn it off then turn it on again and BINGO ! Issues resolved ! Tune in at 5pm this Saturday to hear this catastrophic start, followed by the best part of two hours of fabulous soul, jaz-funk & disco from the 70s & 80s …
