Neil Gits About In Margate

I’ve certainly mentioned it before many times on the show, but what an event the Margate Soul Weekend is ! I missed out last year unfortunately, but made sure I kept last Saturday free to have a good 12 hours worth of mingling with the people and the music that make is so special. I met so many familiar faces that I don’t see too often and a few more that I hadn’t seen for donkeys years, plus I made a few new acqauintances through friends of friends. I don’t think I’ve got the strength in my fingers to type out all the names of the DJ buddies I re-met up with from the Basildon area who were down there either playing or socializing like myself and as for the tunes … well … just take a listen to my show from last Monday when  repeated at 5pm on Saturday to get a tiny flavour, I could not resist “borrowing” a few ideas from the guys’ sets down on the Kent coast ! I think I might be mentioning that fantastic day out next Monday too … and the Monday after that 😉
