One of the best things about being self-employed, and having daytimes to yourself, is that when the sun does pop out and a nice day appears you can just reschedule your home jobs, jump in the car and take a drive out to chill somewhere. That’s what I did this week, ending up in Cromer !! Had a fabulous fish n chips lunch followed by a big ice cream cone, but then had a long drive home again in dodgy traffic 🙁
It’s also that time of year when all the big soul nights start popping up in my diary alongside the regular weekly/monthly ones, so I’d better start adjusting my petrol budget to get to a few – this week alone I’ve been informed of a new monthly Thursday gig, the next summer all-dayer, a new local venue and more soulful happenings on the ever thriving Kent coast scene – and then there’s Margate right in the middle of it all !
