Neil Gits Slushy

Another amusing week of British weather ! This time last week we were blissfully unaware of what was to follow (unless you religiously follow the weather forecast in the media) then on Sunday morning we woke up to – snow !! Lots of it !! That always presents an issue for me getting to work, but once again I managed like the experienced pro that I am ( 😉 ) then by Tuesday it seemed like it was all gone. Except that Billericay appears to have its own micro-climate and was still like the North Pole !! I had totally the wrong footwear on – boots were definitely needed to negotiate the car park I dumped my car in (actually “parking” properly was a non-starter !) but after an evening of rain, it was flippers I needed to get through the lake that had appeared during the evening –  a slushy sea of melted ice ! Oh well, it did the trick and all is back to normal now …

Parts of my show today are also very slushy !! I have two superb “Soul Soothers” back to back in the first hour and plenty of “Mellow Moments” alongside all the jazz-funk, soul & disco classic rhythms elsewhere in the two hours of top tunes.
