There wasn’t nearly as much snow as expected this week in the Basildon or east Thurrock areas, but on the one occasion we did have a heavy fall of big white flakes I just HAD to be out and about in Billericay on the school run, then trudging around the High Street, sorting stuff at the bank and shopping for mum. Luckily, looking out of the window of the restaurant where Nathan and I had our weekly meal treat, we saw that the nasty stuff wasn’t hanging around, but it did leave us slightly damp around the edges as we headed for the Gateway studios.
There were also predictions on other media outlets that caught our attention along the way of several inches to fall during the evening which would cause masive disruption to travel, but my studio being right at the heart of the Eastgate Centre a fair walk away from any view of the outside world I wasn’t to know that nothing fell AT ALL until Friday night !! It’s a good show this week but by the last 15 minutes you can hear the worry in my voice wondering if I would still be trapped in the studio when this evening’s repeat play comes around at 5pm !
