After all the build up to the Big Event, it was the “Post Margate Soul Weekend” show this week, thankfully presented sitting down to rest two rather tender tootsies and with a slightly croaky voice after much chatting, catching up and reminiscing with fellow Old Git DJs from all over the South-East, whilst flitting to and fro between the various venues on the Thanet coast trying to be in the right place at the right time all day ! As expected it was a fabulous day (and apparently the Saturday events I had to miss were even better!) and inevitably one or two tunes that made an impression onmy ears can be shared with you again this Saturday between 5pm & 7pm on our weekly repeat play. By the way, make sure you check the brand new revised full gig list below too – many new events for September have now been added, it looks like another great month for soul music !
