With a busy, busy summer well and truly behind me now, it’s been time to make the most of the several hours of P & Q I have at home each day to catch up and get ahead with various jobs on my never ending lists ! As well as my radio show, I also run a number of quiz nights, including one at The Olde Dog in Herongate near Billericay on the last Thursday of each month. Usually, they are either pop music or general knowledge quizzes, but this time we decided to do our first “Film Quiz”, so I thought it would be a good idea to make up a big list of all the films I’d ever seen as a reference point for movies to ask questions about from different genres & eras. Big List ? You are not kidding ! I must have watched hundreds of various films over the last 40 years or so and the list is still not complete !

Thankfully the quiz went very well and there may be another one in the New Year, so I’ve plenty of time to finish my list off and be fully ready with more fabulous questions at the “sequel” ! But whilst lost in this onerous task, so many memories came flooding back of former friends, places, events and of course the music that were tied in with the films and my list of songs for my soul show grew in the process ! I love putting my radio programme together, especially when it comes out sounding great – and I hope you’ll agree that is the case today at 5pm whn last Monday’s episode gets another airing.
