Neil Gits The Doughnuts In!

Yes, it’s another pre-show food report of sorts this week! We only had the time for a quick smash ‘n’ grab from KFC on Monday, so knowing we might get a bit peckish later I snapped up some reduced price mini-choc doughnuts I saw in the local shop and to keep them at their best, slipped them in my ever so useful, take it everywhere mini-cool bag . So far so good. However, we picked the wrong day to bring treats into the station as there were several of our buddies around – and you have to share! – so five each quickly became two each and they were all gone before I’d even played my first song!

On Wednesday, with a busy time on the road ahead of us, I went to fill my trusty little blue bag with bottles of drink (water & coke of course!) but it was nowhere to be found. Later in the afternoon I collected Nathan from school and he sheepishly showed me a large rip under the crotch of his school trousers, presumably made when showing off his latest Michael Jackson dance routine in the playground! So we made plans to head for Asda in the Eastgate Centre to find a new pair and the ruined articles were swiftly removed – at which point a small silver key fell out of one of the pockets. “Ooops!” came the exclamation from young Nathan “Can we pop into Gateway while in Basildon? I think that’s the key to the locker I put your cool bag in to keep it safe on Monday!”  Only Nathan, only Nathan…
