Towngate Theatre releases behind the scenes movie

The Towngate Theatre has released a movie! In a media statement, the theatre staff said:

Needless to say, it has been a challenging couple of months for the Towngate team. These certainly are unprecedented times that we are living in, and previously we never would have imagined that an unexpected set of circumstances would result in us closing the doors of our beloved theatre for any extended amount of time.

However, we have pulled together as a team to continue to provide the best service possible for our valuable audiences. With that in mind, we wanted to show you how the Towngate have all adapted over the past few months. The Towngate staff have created this short ‘movie’, which we hope you enjoy watching:

Theatre Manager, Simon Scott-Pearce said: 

“I am incredibly proud of the Towngate staff, who have been resilient throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and quickly adapted to working in unusual and unfamiliar circumstances. Our Box Office team have been hard at work every day throughout the week, replying to customer queries with patience and  kindness, offering reassurance on concerns that anyone may have with regards to their bookings.

Our teams have collaborated (virtually, of course!) to produce online content, which includes our Education & Outreach department producing a weekly Storytelling video – published every Monday @ 11am – which we hope has helped entertain our young audiences at home. We are continually updating our website and all social media channels, so any new information and show updates can be found at the click of a button.

We hope this short video helps convey how the Towngate is continuing to operate whilst our doors are closed, and how we will be prepared to welcome our audiences back as soon as it is safe for us to do so.
