Plans to consult about the future of a popular community centre will be discussed by councillors this week.
Members of the Neighbourhoods and Public Spaces Committee will meet on Wednesday 10 March to consider a consultation plan for Laindon Community Centre.
Basildon Council took over the existing Laindon Community Centre site from the Laindon Community Association after it handed over the keys in November last year.
Following an inspection the council was advised by its insurers to secure the building whilst it is out of use.
