Is Britain losing its sense of humour?

One of the strengths of the British character has long been our great sense of humour. But it would be safe to say that there hasn’t been too much to laugh about recently. With you know what dominating our lives for the past year, our lack of funny moments could be taking its toll on our mental wellbeing.

The ‘Walkers Power of Humour Report’ by Walkers, revealed today to mark the announcement of a new partnership with Comic Relief, and led by neuroscientist, Dr Dean Burnett, suggests that lack of laughter is impacting the nation’s mental wellbeing like never before- with the average person laughing for less than two hours a year in total (1 hour and 52 minutes).
