MP encourages individuals to use Self-Employed Income Support Scheme

The Chancellor has announced that the Self-Employed Income Support Scheme will be extended.

There will be a second and final grant in August, which will be a taxable grant worth 70% of the average monthly trading profit for three months, paid in a single instalment and capped at £6,570.

The eligibility for this second grant will be the same as the first. Meanwhile, claims for the first grant must be made by 13^th July.

John Baron MP said,

“The Self-Employed Income Support Scheme has so far received claims from over 2.3 million people, and I encourage all those eligible for help from the scheme to apply for the first grant before the deadline of 13^th July.”

“The Chancellor has made the right move in extending the scheme for a further grant. Further details about this will be announced later this month, and again I urge all eligible people to put in their claim.”
