Christmas Refuse Collection Dates

VIEW YOUR CHRISTMAS REFUSE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION CHANGES ONLINE

CHRISTMAS and New Year refuse and recycling collection changes can be
viewed on Basildon Council’s website for the first time.

The council has now issued leaflets detailing the changes to every
household but if you’ve misplaced yours or not received one you can
download a copy by visiting www.basildon.gov.uk and entering your postcode
into ‘where I live’.

You can also view the council’s opening times over the Christmas and New
Year period.

Cllr John Dornan, cabinet member for environment, said:

“It’s never been easier to find out about changes to your refuse and
recycling collections.

“Residents can now get their information at the touch of a button.”

Residents can also sign up to receive text message reminders, send a text
with the word ‘Pink’ and your postcode to 82727. All texts received are
free of charge, although the initial text is charged at your standard
network rate.
