At the High Sheriff awards evening in Braintree last night (13th March) Gateway 97.8 picked up for the Third year running “The High Sheriff of Essex” award certificate for the work it provides in the community.
This year grant funding was given so the project can run a radio summer school and Saturday morning radio club
Presenter Alison H attended the event with office worker Christine Tiernan and was delighted with the news.
In Addition Myself (Danny lawrence) picked up a Service to community award and was speechless when it was announced that the 2012
Essex police cup presented by the Chief constable and the High Sheriff was awarded to myself
it was a fantastic evening.
Jim Barker-McCardle, Chief Constable of Essex Police said “It was a real pleasure to present Danny with the Police Cup in recognition of his commitment and dedication to the young people of Basildon. Through hard work and enthusiasm Danny has taken a leading role to improve community safety and crime prevention”.
