La Quinta in Benfleet Road has been chosen as a main location for the gangster movie Rise of the foot soldier, featuring in 5 scenes. The restaurant has had to close for a few days whilst the crew set up equipment and filming takes place.
Gina Duke, Events co-ordinator at La Quinta said “it really is good fun and exciting”. The film is set for release later this year.
