Shops guilty of using the most trackers to monitor customers’ online behaviour

Latest analysis and research have revealed the extent to which the UK’s top retail brands track their online shoppers.

The Retail Trust Index, conducted by Empathy.co, creators of ethical commerce search technology, indicates that the worst offenders include Wickes, JD Sports, Adidas and Clarks.

All these retail brands utilise over 20 different trackers on their sites, with more than half of them used for sharing information to third parties for advertising.
