Molly Rainford hosts period prep school for pupils
Singer and actor, Molly Rainford, and GP Dr Aziza Sesayhosted a ‘Period Prep School’ event yesterday (Tuesday 21st November), educating girls about their cycle.
The event was organised after figures showed that nearly one in three (32%) girls in the UK feel scared about starting their first period.
Accessible education and open conversations about puberty and periods is crucial to helping students confidently embrace their changing bodies, creating a culture of acceptance and preparedness when it comes to periods and hormone cycles.
The ‘Always Period Prep School’ event hosted by Molly and Dr Aziza Sesay at Lilian Baylis School aimed to raise awareness of the Always About You schools programme, which delivers puberty and period lessons in classrooms up and down the country.
