Listen: do you have gifts in your will?
During this year’s Remember A Charity Week (9 – 15 September 2024), charities across the UK are celebrating a groundbreaking increase in charitable gifts in Wills, a form of giving that has generated £4 billion in donations in the last year alone. This “Willanthropy” movement, which continues to grow, plays a vital role in sustaining UK charities.
With the cost of living raising and more people relying on charitable services, gifts in Wills are more vital than ever. These donations are key to keeping charities running, helping to fund a wide range of services including healthcare, animal rescue, the arts, and more.
For this year’s Remember A Charity Week, the organisation has introduced the Great Map of Willanthropy, an interactive tool that shows the big impact gifts in Wills have had on charities across the UK.
Aston spoke to Lucinda Frostick, director of Remember A Charity.
