Listen: Celebrating our grandparents
As part of National Grandparents Day (6th October), we are being encouraged to show a little more love to the older role models in our lives and appreciate them for everything they do, in a bid to afford the day the same recognition as other family national days.
Every month on average, parents have admitted that grandparents help with 24.6 hours of childcare and 38% say that they do nothing in return – don’t worry though, 29% take them for a dinner, 19% buy them a drink and 13% take them on holiday as a way of saying thanks.
To help do this, Ambassador Cruise Line will be launching its second iteration of its Great British Grandparent campaign, by asking us to nominate worthy grandparents as the 2024 ‘Great British Grandparent’ through a dedicated competition, where we recognise them for what they do, who they are and what they represent.
Aston spoke to Gordon Nardini, chief marketing officer at Ambassador Cruise Line.
