Listen: plan ahead to avoid gift disappointment

Have yourself a merry and stress-free Christmas by shopping early, relieving the pressure of finding the ideal gift and posting in plenty of time to make sure it’s under the tree in time for the big day.

That’s the advice from Postmaster Richard Fleetwood as he gives his top tips to avoid disappointment this Christmas.

Ahead of the busiest day for postage on the 9^th December, new research reveals Brits find the Christmas shopping and posting experience stressful, with a fifth (20%) admitting anxiety surrounding gift-giving as the holidays draw near.

Yet, finding from the Post Office show the perfect Christmas gift is a priority for many Brits, with over a third (39%) saying they put significant thought into every present—some even choosing to make and send their own creations. For the especially generous, one in 10 plan to buy more than 21 gifts this year.
