Revolutionary technology launches to transform eye health in the UK

Ground-breaking retinal imaging technology, which will help spot potential eye health concerns quicker, and serious health conditions, is now available on the high-street.

The system, named ‘optomap’ will enable opticians to scan up to 82% of the retina in a single image, compared to just 15% using traditional methods.

Over 5.4 million adults are estimated to be currently living with undiagnosed diabetes and hypertension that Optomap can detect. The scan is quick, painless, and similar to having a photograph taken.
